On the other hand, sketchbook time is totally different, not working on top of someone elses idea, just free form stuff. I always want to hit a certain standard of line inking, but my sketchbook is loose and crazy. Maybe even junk some times but when I go back and look at what Ive done it always gives me a smile. So, Im going to keep at it until another deadline looms my way.
Plus its some pencil stuff, some inked stuff, and usually a lot of grey tone which actually can help me figure out form and gesture. And since super hero style can be very formal in a way I really dig being able to get sloppy in a sketch book.
ConnectiCon in one month! Monster Mania in Cromwell was awesome. 2 Cons right here in CT is good stuff!
